This National Meeting will consider three current topics for Uzbekistan and the region – NQF, quality assurance and accreditation. The aim of the meeting is to facilitate policy dialogue among government stakeholders, business community and education professionals of Uzbekistan and share best good practice gathered in these fields in the EU. On the day, Ministry of higher and secondary specialized education of Uzbekistan will provide an insight into the current status of NQF development in Uzbekistan by presenting current approaches, challenges and funding mechanisms. The experience on introduction of NQFs in EU countries will be delivered by representatives from Latvia, Poland and Romania. Parallel workshops on NQF in HE and VET and links between state stakeholders and businesses will finalize the day. The second day will be dedicated to quality assurance and accreditation and will focus on how qualifications frameworks and quality assurance are linked, what are the achievements and challenges in quality assurance and accreditation in Uzbekistan, what are the best practice examples from Latvia, Poland and Romania. It is envisaged that by the end of the second day recommendations for next steps in strengthening developments in NQF, QA and accreditation at national level will be discussed.
