For over 30 years, Europe has funded the Erasmus programme, which has enabled over three million European students to spend part of their studies in another higher education institution in Europe. In 2015, Erasmus+ opened up these opportunities to the world, allowing for student and staff mobility between the Programme Countries and non-EU Partner Countries as part of the International Credit Mobility Scheme.
This Central Asia contact seminar follows on from previous events organised by the Directorate General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture (DG EAC) with the Western Balkans, the Eastern Partnership countries and the Southern Mediterranean Countries. The 2-day event will gather about 200 representatives from higher education institutions (HEIs) from all 33 Programme Countries and Serbia as well as from the Central Asia region.
The main objective is to increase the number of successful applications to the next Erasmus+ calls for proposals, by offering concrete networking opportunities. The event will cover all international actions of Erasmus+, with a particular focus on International Credit Mobility and Capacity Building in Higher Education.
As in previous editions, the event will be punctuated by networking sessions and a series of workshops addressing among others recognition, application forms, selection & support to participants
