CAEP will next week hold a Regional Conference “Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Higher Education and Vocational Education and Training” in Tajikistan, in cooperation with the EU-funded European Higher Education Fair (EHEF) Project.
EHEF are organising an EU-Tajikistan Higher Education Cooperation Conference and Workshop on 17 May at the Tajik State University of Commerce in Dushanbe. This event will provide a platform for discussion among higher education leaders and university staff from both Tajikistan and EU member states, giving an opportunity to reflect on cooperation to date between the EU and Tajik Higher Education (HE) sectors and look at future opportunities.
Participants will present case studies of best practice in the internationalisation of HE, student and staff mobility and successful partnership building, and workshop discussions will focus on practical and effective approaches to international collaboration.
The morning of the 18th May will see a joint session with CAEP focusing on quality assurance and accreditation in HE and VET, with representatives from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan sharing experiences and best practice.
The CAEP Conference will then continue and further dialogue on QA and accreditation will follow on the 18th and 19th May, through case studies, round table discussions and working groups. The challenges to QA will be presented and discussed and areas covered will include non-formal and formal training, capacity building programmes, labour market needs and stakeholder involvement.
